Established in 2025, Akerman Care was founded with a clear vision: to provide supported living services that are compassionate, empowering, and genuinely person-centred.

The organisation is led by experienced Directors and healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality support for people with complex needs. Together, the leadership team brings extensive experience across adult social care, supported living, governance, compliance, and service development.

Akerman Care’s Registered Manager and Director has over 15 years of experience working in partnership with individuals with complex needs, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams across adult social care services. Holding a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Health and Social Care, he brings strong leadership, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to person-centred support.

Managing Director, Dan Tierney, brings valuable leadership experience, strategic insight, and a strong people-focused approach to the organisation. Dan is passionate about building services that are compassionate, professional, and centred around the needs of each individual. He believes that high-quality care starts with strong values, collaborative working, and creating positive environments where both the people we support and our staff can thrive.
